On Tuesday, August 10, 2010, history will go down in history as an important day for the Memorial University Assistants Union. On that day, THE TAUMUN negotiating team proudly signed its first collective agreement with MUN. All CUPE members work under the protection of a collective agreement called a collective agreement. Your local union negotiates the terms of the agreement. Elected local union leaders also work with the employer to resolve workplace issues.
